There was a time we looked for comparison between man and ape (animals) now we look for comparisons between man and machine (robot/AI).

First we said we came from apes now we say we’ll be cyborgs. From animal to human to machine. Really? We have lost our capacity to even think rationally!

Look how our thoughts have changed over the centuries. Can our thoughts be trusted if they constantly change? And can we go about our daily lives only based on our feelings? Are there no moral standards to live by anymore? I have never seen a better occasion to apply the word “impulsive”.

We are impulsive. We react to situations based on our feelings, we assume because we think irrationally. We think we know it all but the truth of the matter is we don’t.

We are not the mere results of time plus matter plus chance. If it were so, then you’d be able to tell me the origin of the conscience too. The truth is; we were meant to be. You and I.

You didn’t make it just by chance to be the only sperm out of a million to fertilise the egg. If it were just a chance, then your whole life is just a fluke. Everything happening in your life right now would be a fluke and you’ll die someday just by fluke. And if you were a fluke that means your life had no meaning and no purpose.

But let me tell you this; even an object such as a chair at the dining table has its purpose. Aren’t you more than a chair?

You are living, you breathe, you gauge, you understand, you have emotions, you have a conscience.

Your breath is what separates you from the cyborg and your conscience is what sets you apart from being an animal.

You were called into existence by your name and there is a God responsible for it. He has set the good people in your life to love while the others He has placed to shape you. This is what gives your life meaning and purpose. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Quit thinking and start living. You have the seeds of greatness inside you. You were made human so that you could rule and have everything else under your feet. Even the huge mountain of problem that’s in front of you, even the emptiness of loneliness that’s surrounded you. Stand up! And crush everything what was made to be under your feet. Get yourself right with God because thats when you will be able to do all things through Christ who gives you strength.

“the LORD who created you says, “Do not be afraid–I will save you. I have called you by name–you are mine.” -Isaiah 43:1

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” -Philippians 4:13
